1. Check the Wi-Fi connection:
Make sure your Wi-Fi connection is stable and not experiencing any signal issues.
Try placing the doorbell closer to the router to improve signal strength.
2. Restart the doorbell and router:
Turn the doorbell off and on again by briefly interrupting the power.
Do the same for your Wi-Fi router. A simple restart can often refresh connections.
3. Check the battery level:
Ensure the doorbell is sufficiently charged.
Make sure the battery does not drop below 20% to avoid disconnection.
4. Software updates:
Check if the doorbell has the latest firmware installed.
Software updates can often fix connectivity issues.
5. Check network settings:
Make sure your Wi-Fi network does not have restrictions like MAC filtering or firewall settings that could block the doorbell.
Also ensure the router is not overloaded with too many connected devices, which can affect performance.
6. Check signal strength:
Make sure there are not too many obstacles between the doorbell and the router (e.g. thick walls or metal surfaces) that could weaken the signal.
If the doorbell is too far from the router or surrounded by obstacles, the connection may become weak or drop offline. Try moving the doorbell closer to the router or use a Wi-Fi extender to strengthen the signal.
7. Reset to factory settings:
Remove the batteries from the doorbell and place them back in (sometimes switching the left and right battery can help).
Reset the doorbell to factory settings and go through the setup process again.
