I'm not receiving notifications in the app

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Enable notifications in the FinexHome app
To receive alerts from your Finex Doorbell V2, make sure to check the following:

  • Ensure your phone is not in silent mode or Do Not Disturb mode.

  • Verify that the FinexHome app is authorized to send notifications on your phone.

  • Check that notifications are enabled within the FinexHome app itself.

We’ll go through each of these settings step-by-step.

Authorize the FinexHome app to push notifications
Go to your phone’s general settings and look for a section like “Apps & Notifications”.
If you're unsure, search online for app permission settings for your specific phone model.

Adjust notification settings
Make sure all notification types for the FinexHome app are turned on.

In-app notification settings
In the FinexHome app, you can manage which notifications you receive for each device.

  1. From the home screen, tap ‘Account’ at the bottom right.

  2. Then tap the gear icon at the top right.

Account Settings

  • Device Notifications: These are alerts sent directly from your Finex devices, like “Someone is at the door” or “Motion detected.”

  • Do Not Disturb Period: Set a time window (e.g. at night) during which no notifications are received.

  • System Notifications: General notifications from the FinexHome app.

  • Family: Notifications about people joining or leaving a FinexHome family group.

Device-specific settings
Tap your Finex Doorbell in the home screen, then tap the three-dot menu at the top right to access its settings.
Here you can adjust how often you receive alerts, e.g. by changing the motion detection sensitivity.

Connect using Dual Band
If you experience connection issues, reinstall the doorbell in the FinexHome app:
Go to ‘Camera & Lock’ and select ‘Smart Doorbell (Dual Band)’ instead of just ‘Smart Doorbell’.
